Commenting on his election as President, Michiel Langezaal stated:
“The charging industry is a key stakeholder in decarbonising European transport. The success of Europe's automotive sector is intrinsically tied to the development of a robust and future-proof charging infrastructure. As such, our sector plays a crucial role in ensuring the long-term competitiveness of Europe.
My ambition is for ChargeUp Europe to be more engaged than ever, actively participating in discussions in Brussels and other European capitals to drive policies that support a thriving and competitive e-mobility ecosystem. I look forward to working with all parties as we move towards this great shared ambition.”
ChargeUp Europe’s secretary general, Lucie Mattera, commented on the Board elections:
“We look forward to working with our Board members to highlight the many benefits of EV charging and e-mobility more broadly, build the collaborative relationships that underpin a thriving e-mobility ecosystem, and increase value for our members. EV charging is not merely a path to combustion engine decarbonisation, it is integral to the broader energy transition, and there's not a more exciting space to be active in today!”
The newly elected leadership team will continue to advocate for policies that support sustainable business models in the EV charging infrastructure sector and enhance the EV driver experience across Europe.
